HR Generalist
Pasadena, CA Direct-Hire $28.00 - $30.00/hr Onsite

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Generalist with strong payroll administration experience to join our Human Resources team. Pay ranges from $28-30/hr DOE.

Responsibilities:

Human Resources

  • Support daily HR operations and serve as a point of contact for employees and managers.
  • Coordinate recruiting activities, including posting positions, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and facilitating onboarding.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefit-related questions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Support employee relations matters and assist with investigations, corrective actions, and performance management processes.
  • Coordinate employee training, development, and engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with policy development, implementation, and communication.
  • Prepare HR reports, metrics, and other documentation as needed.

Payroll Administration

  • Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Review employee timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain payroll records, deductions, garnishments, benefits, and tax withholdings.
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations, labor laws, and payroll tax requirements.
  • Coordinate payroll-related audits and reporting.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and payroll policies.
  • Work closely with Finance and Accounting teams to reconcile payroll data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and payroll regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
